Walking and Bike Routes in South Riding, Virginia

South Riding offers many walking, running and biking paths. The community also has dedicated Riding and Cycling clubs. Both clubs encourage people of all ages and fitness abilities to join them in their organized fitness events. So make the most of the warm weather and step out to burn those calories and enjoy the outdoors. Check out our list below to help you get started:

  1. South Riding Running Club – This group of recreational runners meets daily and weekly for group runs. Most of the runs start and end at Starbucks (at Peacock Market Plaza) or Panera ( next to Giant). Check out their website for group run schedules and detailed routes which can be printed to carry along. They also offer guidance and coaching for new runners on their website at: srrunners.org
  1. South Riding Cycling Club – Started almost ten years ago this group consists of cyclists of all skill levels. Organized rides are held every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6 PM and cover a 5 mile loop. Weekend rides vary in distance and schedule. Check out their Facebook page for constant updates on schedules and routes.
  1. Maintained by the South Riding proprietary, “The World Trail” is a 4 mile multilevel fitness trail . It begins on Justice Drive and Londontown Terrace and ends near Braddock Road close to Freedom High School.For an easy walking course check out some of these routes courtesy mapmywalk.com
